Gorgeous flowers from Beth - she's a pro!!
What a perfect evening for a baseball game! Good weather, great game, and the best company. Ok, and yeah...good beer.
Thanks for the tickets Andrew!
The trees must be so tired from holding all of that snow on their limbs!! And oops, where did my car go?
What story of personal greatness, achievement or success would your co-workers or friends be surprised to learn about you?
Sponsored by Nature Made.I don't think anyone will be surprised to hear this because I'm pretty sure I have shared it with the world at this point, but my big success story for this year was obtaining my Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. I heard about this certification when I was in college and it's been something I've been interested in pursuing ever since (and no I'm not going to disclose how many years it's been).
Within the past couple of years, HR professionals with a PHR seem to be pretty sought after by employers so it definitely lit a fire in me. After much studying and a few tears the night before I took the test, I'm happy to report that I PASSED!
With that under my belt I'm proud that I have more expertise to draw from and can better contribute to my company as a result. Yay me!
Greatness is not a destination, but a journey. What do you do for your family, career or community that you’re most proud of?

I like to make my family and friends dinner. It really makes me happy...yes I'm such a cliche Italian. I honestly feel proud that I can (attempt to) duplicate my mother's, aunts' and noni's recipes. I was blessed with a family of great cooks.
I love looking back on the things my mother taught me just by me watching and helping her cook over the years. What flavors go together, what meals are always crowd pleasers, and how to make a delicious meal out of random stuff in your cabinent. I'm greateful that I learned these things and love being able to share with my friends and family. And now after all of this talk about cooking, I'm hungry!!
As the story goes, if the groundhog sees his shadow today that means winter will continue for another 6 weeks. It's sunny and nearly in the 70s so he must have seen his shadow right?
But, this cherry blossom tree seems to be making a strong statement that the spring is soon approaching.
Whatever, I never understood Groundhog Day anyway.
