Pinball & Pinball.
When I was younger pinball was one of the few arcade games that struck my fancy. The Rip Roaring Rapids pinball game was the best of the best. All of the slides, shoots and bouncer things simulated a white water rapids ride. The sounds of running water and splashing were continuous and exciting. But when your final pinball raced down the middle of the stoppers, the machine made this sinking noise (buh-buh-blup-blup) that used to make everyone break out in hysterical laughter. This used to drive me crazy because not only did I just lose, but now everyone knew it and was laughing at me. Despite the miserable, but inevitable, ending of the game, I was enchanted.
Nowadays, I rarely find myself in an arcade, but when I encounter a pinball machine, I'm instantly hooked. I find it amazing that I still like something that I used to play when I was so young - I couldn't even reach both buttons on the sides of the machine when I first fell in love with Pinball.
